PROCESSED SURFACES
Planed
The majority of our products are produced with planed surfaces. This results in a smooth and uniform surface through the processing of the raw material with planing knives.
Brushed
In this processing step, the surface is roughened using brushing rollers. The softer growth zones/rings are brushed away, while the harder growth zones/rings remain intact. This creates a characteristic "wavy," rough surface.
Sawn rough with a fine band saw cut
The raw material is split in the middle with a fine band saw blade, creating the sawn rough appearance. Only after that, the board is given the desired shape with planing knives. This surface treatment is often coated, providing better adhesion compared to planed or brushed surfaces.

Natural untreated surfaces
In addition to our finished surfaces, you also have the option to get our solid wood planks in a raw surface. From finely sanded to brushed, band-sawed, or scraped, we can fulfill all these requests for our customers. The natural untreated FEEL WOOD surfaces are suitable for applying varnish or oil without any further pre-treatment.
Oiled
Oiled floors are distinguished primarily by their breathability and pleasant surface texture. Natural oil impregnates the wood, leaving the surface feeling natural, pleasant, and easy to maintain. The FEEL WOOD surface is already oiled twice, making it highly durable, easy to care for, and tested according to DIN 68861-1B:2011 for stress class 1B, suitable for commercial use. With our FEEL WOOD surface, you have the option to choose between environmentally declared AURO and BIOFA finishes.
Lacquered
A particularly resistant surface that is dirt-repellent and easy to maintain. The FEEL WOOD lacquered surface consists of 6 layers, tested according to DIN 13696, and is suitable for commercial use. This high-quality surface impresses with its silky shine and elegant appearance. In addition to our standard range, there is the option to choose between different options such as matte or glossy and natural or colored finishes.
