In the year 1915, the foundation of what is now Serafin Campestrini GmbH was laid by Master Carpenter Serafin Campestrini. Over the past years, the company has evolved from a sawmill with a full gate to a sought-after wood industry enterprise throughout Europe.
1915 - The foundation of the present-day Serafin Campestrini GmbH was laid by Master Wagner (Carpenter) Serafin Campestrini.
1947 - Josef Campestrini takes over the company and modernizes it by installing new machinery. Until the early 1980s, Ottensheim also produces popular SECA health sandals made of wood, inspired by Swedish sandal models.
1967 - Production of profiled boards begins, initially using overseas wood.
1970 - In the early 1970s, the GmbH & Co KG is founded, and Franz Campestrini takes over the management. At the same time, construction starts on a closed sawmill and a large sorting and storage hall for lumber.

1987 - Serafin Campestrini, the current managing director, joins the company. Eight years later, a planing mill is established in Borohradek, Czech Republic, and production of planed goods begins under the name Serafin Campestrini s.r.o. as a 100% subsidiary of SECA GmbH Austria, starting with 25 employees.
1995 - Production is fully shifted to the planing mill in Borohrádek. The current managing director, Mag. Christian Loidl, MBA, joins the company. The Ottensheim location expands its sales activities both domestically and in exports.

2011 - The combined heat and power (CHP) biomass power plant with a capacity of 1 MW electricity / 5 MW heat is commissioned at the Borohradek site. The generated electrical energy and heat from the CHP are primarily used locally, with the surplus being fed into the grid.
2012 - The FEEL WOOD Solid Wood Flooring production in Styria is acquired as a 100% subsidiary.
2015 - On the occasion of its 100th anniversary in 2015, SECA operates at 4 locations and is led by the managing partners Serafin Campestrini, Ing. Franz Campestrini, and Mag. Christian Loidl.
2012 - The FEEL WOOD Solid Wood Flooring production in Styria is acquired as a 100% subsidiary.
2015 - On the occasion of its 100th anniversary in 2015, SECA operates at 4 locations and is led by the managing partners Serafin Campestrini, Ing. Franz Campestrini, and Mag. Christian Loidl.
2017 - The SECA Online Shop opens its virtual doors, providing 24/7 accessibility for its customers.
2018 - With the SECA Holzwelt, a statement is made by establishing a showcase directly on the B127 in Ottensheim. Covering 1000 square meters of exhibition space, including a show garden, customers can experience, try out, and touch wood products up close.
2021 - On its 106th anniversary, SECA operates at 3 locations and is led by the managing partners Serafin Campestrini, Ing. Franz Campestrini, and Mag. Christian Loidl. The group employs over 210 staff members.
