Firmly integrated and healthy branches in any number, size up to 25% of the board or profile board width. Partially integrated, encased, and dead branches up to 1 piece per linear meter distributed over the board length, size up to 20% of the board width.
Occasional black pin knots up to 5 mm in diameter are allowed and disregarded. For rift and semi-rift sawn boards, the above branch sizes apply +20 mm.
NOT ALLOWED:
Loose and fallen branches. End grain dowels are not allowed.
Firmly integrated branches, partially integrated branches, encased branches in any number. Wing branches and dead (not integrated) branches up to 1 piece per linear meter distributed over the board length. Occasional black pin knots up to 5 mm in diameter are allowed and disregarded.
100 mm: Branch size up to 10% of the board or profile board width +40 mm.
